• Research interests

The main field of interest is Solar-Terrestrial Physics, in particular a question on how do the
Earth’s atmosphere respond to the solar variability and what can be a mechanism behind
that.
Solar-Terrestrial physics:
Solar and geomagnetic activities, galactic and solar cosmic rays; solar proton events and ground level effect of solar protons, Forbush decreases of galactic cosmic rays.
Atmospheric physics:
trace gases, input solar radiation into the lower layers of atmosphere, optical depth, optical
properties of atmospheric aerosol (extinction and backscattering profiles), microphysical
aerosol parameters (refractive index, size of the particles, surface and volume
concentration), lidar measurements.
